The day after Halloween, All Souls Day, Día de los Muertos

1 Nov

I don’t have much to report from my Halloween activities. I spent most of the day working on some graphic design projects while caring for my husband who had an awful 24hr migraine. My favorite experience from yesterday was shopping at the grocery store, the aisle were filled with witches, clowns, pirates and celebrity look-a-likes all in search of last minute candy for tricker-treaters (or beer for parties). My mind wandered to what it would be like if we all dressed up everyday- if we had a costume for every mood and state of mind what fun it could be!

On another note…we woke up this morning to the most beautiful frost.  It’s as if the earth took note that it was November 1st and was ready to shift seasons- from orange and gold to green and white. For me, cold weather brings with it more candle light, more baking and more time with friends and family during the “holiday season” (for our Swedish readers- its the time leading up to Thanksgiving all the way through the New Year.)
